Policy & representation
The Chamber works on behalf of its members to create a better business environment. We lobby for a pro-growth approach to development, investment and job creation in Leeds, York and North Yorkshire and help raise the profile of local business. By utilising our strong links with policy makers and politicians, we campaign on the key issues affecting businesses such as economic policy, employment, skills and regulation.
Through the Chamber, members can access economic and market intelligence. We keep members informed on local, national and European developments, ensuring that businesses are aware of future opportunities for growth and ready to overcome potential challenges.
Businesses of all size and sectors are invited to engage with the Chamber's Representation and Policy Team and shape our lobbying agenda. This can be done through a number of channels:
- Attending events and forums;
- Actively getting involved with our lobbying campaigns;
- Completing our Quarterly Economic Survey; and
- Putting forward their views and opinions via phone, email or social media.
