Mentoring

Whenever you need to make an important decision it would be useful if you could have someone to talk to - someone who could take an objective and independent view and yet was experienced, reliable and determined to act in your best interests.

The Chamber has recognised that businesses often need this kind of outside advice and has set up a new service to give the one to one guidance which people often need. We have assembled a team of very experienced business people to form the very best panel of mentors that the region has to offer. Each mentor has run at least one successful business and has had great success in advising others.

If you would like to use this service simply contact your account manager at the Chamber who will discuss your requirements with you and suggest the most appropriate mentor. We will set up a preliminary chat to set an agenda and to discuss targets, costs and timescales. If you are both satisfied that you can work usefully together, you then sign up to the initial package.

The outcome of this package is an assessment of your strategic position and a series of action points to improve your business. This recommendation might be that the mentor continues to work with you, or perhaps that a specialist is brought in to deal with a particular need. Either way any further work is subject entirely to your agreement.

This service is aimed at established SMEs, high-growth and budding corporate businesses.
