Leeds Rugby Ltd

Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association (RFCA)
The Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association (RFCA) was established over 100 years ago, initially to oversee the well-being of the Territorial Army Reserves. Over time the RFCA have widened their role to assisting three services and the Cadet organisations. The reserve forces play a vital and active role in supporting the country’s defences, with over 300 soldiers, sailors and airmen routinely mobilised each year to serve in Afghanistan. These men and women gain invaluable skills from their training which in turn contributes to their employers and the economy. Likewise, the cadet organisations help develop young people and improve their employability. It is this contribution by the RFCA to the wider economy and individual communities which is of huge importance to communities and business alike.

The Unit
The unit is a purpose built business incubator based in Leeds City Centre offering premises and support for start up and fledgling businesses. Originally funded by the European Social Fund and the European Regional Development Fund, The Unit opened in November 2006 on the ground floor of Park Lane House, Leeds City College.
