All members are given the opportunity to take part in the Q.E.S, which is under taken by the British Chambers of Commerce. It is the most extensive and regular measure of business trends at local, regional and national levels.

The survey covers issues such as the current state of local business orders and sales, investment, employment, recruitment difficulties and business confidence. The results are a reliable economic indicator and are used by the Government and Bank of England when developing policy and forecasts.

The 2010 Quarter 1 survey fieldwork is currently taking place. Chamber members can take part by clicking on the link below.

The Chamber code for Leeds based members is 47 and for York and North Yorkshire based members it is 48. For all members the password is 'economy'.
