Future Arts Announces Social B2B
LEEDS - Future Arts, a not-for-profit digital media company that provides opportunities for disadvantaged youths, is announcing the launch of a corporate social responsibility certification and new way to do business at its Social B2B Launch Event. This seminar and networking opportunity is ideal for businesses interested in the benefits of social return from the ethical buying of digital services.
"The services provided by Future Arts are much needed in Leeds for our young people in these challenging times and they are increasingly in demand given the challenge faced by young people today" says Tom Riordan, CEO of Leeds City Council and headliner of the launch event on 5th March. In the current recession, he has recognised the need for the public and private sectors to collaborate with the third sector. He is supported by Sally- Anne Greenfield, CEO of Leeds Community Foundation, who will address corporate social responsibility. The event celebrates social enterprises in the hope of developing the social enterprise model to further support community and economic development.
The Social B2B certification recognises businesses that have
demonstrated a
commitment to following a sustainable business model by purchasing
digital creative services from a not-for-profit company. By having
this certification, businesses demonstrate that they are a
trustworthy brand and are on the cutting edge of a new era of
ethical buying in the business world. The event provides an
opportunity for businesses to discover how to easily implement
corporate social responsibility and get social return on
investment. The event is about so much more than just a
certification, it is a celebration of a new way to do
business.
Future Arts is dedicated to reinvesting all of its profits into
creative youth initiatives and work placements for young people
facing disadvantages. It serves as a model for corporate social
responsibility, giving businesses large and small more of a return
on their investments in digital media. Dinah Clark, the programme
manager of Leeds Initiative, says, "Future Arts are connecting
tomorrowʼs generation of creatives with digital skills and
opportunities today".
