New Leeds premises and brand for MR ICT

York-based MR ICT has expanded its premises and workforce, opening a second office in the new prestigious Tower Works development on Globe Road in Leeds.

The company, which has been providing IT services to companies large and small since 2002, has combined this expansion with a rebrand to refresh the company image. 

“The name Octari came about because I wanted a brand we could make our own, and that would withstand future developments in technology. The name MR ICT has served us well and is liked by many customers but has become something of a hurdle when acquiring new business, as it has the effect of making us sound like an individual consultant rather than a whole team,” says Managing Director, Marcus Robinson. He continues: “We decided to open a Leeds office to enable us to expand our client base here and across West Yorkshire, having built an established reputation in the York area.” 

Not content with simultaneously handling a new office opening and rebrand, Marcus also decided now was the time to bring a marketing specialist on board to expand Octari’s client base and launch some new ideas. He turned to Cassandra Oliver, a marketer with ten years’ experience of promoting small businesses.

“It’s exciting to be getting to grips with a whole new industry. Having worked in marketing professional services for the last ten years, I know that a lot of my experience will be directly relevant to help Octari achieve its goals, but there will be new aspects to the strategy as well.” says Cassandra of her new appointment. 

Cassandra joins Octari at an exciting point, with the launch of the new wave of Microsoft products, including Windows 8, Windows Server 2012, and MS Office 2013.  Top of the “to-do list” is making clients aware of how these new technologies can improve productivity and efficiency – both of which are more important than ever in these challenging times.
