GRASP4JOBS business launch
GRASP4JOBS - an innovative and exciting solution for graduates and others who cannot find jobs and for companies who want to increase their sales but cannot afford to finance a full time salaried salesforce is now launched this month.
A duo of experienced Yorkshire businessmen – John Barker (Chairman) and Steve Cowie (CEO) have pooled resources to launch a new venture aimed at getting unemployed graduates and redundant people in all walks of life into or back to work. This is also an ideal vehicle for individuals wanting to retrain and change their career direction. It is reported that some two fifths of all graduates have each applied for more than 100 jobs without any success, most not getting even a single interview!
GRASP4JOBS Ltd will run a series of specialised sales training courses throughout the country, taking those who like dealing with people generally but have little or no sales experience and showing them how to achieve success. The company itself has four staff currently, with access to another ten through its partner company Sinclair Training, but expects to increase this significantly over the next 18 months.
What is different about this exciting new business is that, those who have successfully completed the training will get a formal sales qualification and be linked to a database of businesses who are looking to appoint sales professionals – some in employed positions and some as agents, working as ‘sales entrepreneurs’.
This means that anyone who is prepared to work hard and successfully completes the training can look forward to a new and dynamic career in sales. They would also have the opportunity to set up his or her own business, develop it and avoid the current situation where employers only want to take on those already working who have shown staying power.
Potential earnings for sales personnel are almost always much higher than for other business disciplines. Also, those who successfully start their own sales business as ‘sales entrepreneurs’ tend to earn more than salaried staff and often provide more personal satisfaction in addition to other benefits. And it certainly beats staying at home watching daytime TV or stacking shelves all day!
GRASP4JOBS will provide support services through their own office and associated professionals.
A spokesman for the company said that running up to the end of 2013 they are targeting 1,000 graduates nationwide, and whereas that might make a small dent in the unemployed jobs pool, it would nevertheless be on a par with many international corporates and their job creation figures.
Vince Cable (Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills) is on record as stating to the GRASP4JOBS CEO Steve Cowie“We welcome initiatives providing appropriate training for the unemployed which meet the labour market need”.Not only does this series of courses help with this objective, but will also help many SMEs and larger companies to increase their annual sales, by engaging trained and skilled sales personnel and in the case of self-employed paying only by results! This follows what the Americans have been doing successfully for many years.
