Property and planning experts to speak at Leeds real estate and construction seminar

Two leading property and planning experts are addressing a major seminar on real estate and construction issues in Yorkshire. Ian Marcus and Phil Crabtree are guest speakers at the sixth annual ‘Frameworks for Recovery’ seminar which is being held in Leeds on 20th November. The event is being jointly organised by PKF (UK) LLP, Lambert Smith Hampton and Irwin Mitchell LLP.

Ian Marcus, the current UK MD of Evans Property Group and former Senior Real Estate Investment Banker at Credit Suisse and Chairman of the Bank of England Property Forum, will draw on his extensive sector experience to highlight the principal issues affecting the market, particularly focusing on the availability of both debt and equity capital.

Phil Crabtree, Chief Planning Officer at Leeds City Council, is to focus particularly on the city region, examining how changes in decision making and funding can assist in delivering development projects, as well as providing an update on the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL), the Leeds Enterprise Zone and the progress made on the various tiers of Local Plans.

Paul Clarke, Partner at PKF said; “This heavyweight seminar has become a fixture on the real estate and construction circuit. It is now in its sixth year and we are very pleased that Phil Crabtree will again be joining us and that this year we will welcome Ian Marcus as our headline act.”

The seminar is being held at the White Rose Conference Centre in Leeds on Tuesday 20th November 2012. Registration and breakfast start at 8.00am with the presentation concluding at 11.15am.
